Pernilla Ellies: Population Health Nutritionist, North Metro Health Service, Department of Health, WA
MPH Awarded Feb 2005.
I enrolled in a MPH degree because I was interested in building on my public health skills and knowledge. The completion of the degree has enabled me to plan broader strategies during the development of nutrition projects that takes the whole public health environment into account. The public health skills and knowledge were used to contribute substantially to a successful public health nutrition program including its refunding for another three years. The MPH degree has also given me an edge when applying for public health jobs in an increasingly diverse field where knowledge of public health issues is essential.
